MAKE_JASON is the jData module of jLab.

 MAKE_JASON  Create a reformatted version of the Beckley altimeter dataset.
 
    MAKE_JASON creates JasonAlongTrack, a reformatted version of the 
    Integrated Multi-Mission Ocean Altimeter Data for Climate Research
    Version 5.1, by Brian Beckley and Richard Ray, itself available from 
 
      https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/MERGED_TP_J1_OSTM_OST_ALL_V51
  
    In JasonAlongTrack, altimeter passes have been rearranged and sorted
    geographically within each cycle for convenience. Data from a given 
    cycle can then be meaningfully plotted as a function of along-track 
    location and track number. 
 
    'make_jason --create' generates the dataset from source files.
    'make_jason --f' makes a sample figure using JasonAlongTrack.
