MAKE_GOLDALTIMETRY is the jData module of jLab.

 MAKE_GOLDALTIMETRY  Create a synthetic altimeter dataset and gridded statistics.
 
    MAKE_GOLDALTIMETRY creates two files for used in observing system
    simulation experiments of Jason-class satellite altimetry. 
  
    GoldAlongTrack is a synthetic Jason-class alongtrack altimeter dataset 
    from GOLD model output, specifically a yearlong no-tides simulation.
 
    GoldStatistics contains statistics of the GOLD no-tides simulation 
    within each Jason altimeter cycle.
 
    This file is provided for completeness, although it will not be 
    possible for you to run it without access to the original model files.
 
    Usage: make_goldaltimetry --create
